Confidentiality:

Confidentiality is an essential element of therapy.
I am morally, ethically, and legally obligated to maintain strict confidentiality of client information. Without written consent, I cannot release any information about clients, including their presence in therapy.

However, all therapists are legally mandated to make sure clients and others are safe.  There are a few very specific safety exceptions to confidentiality laws.  Please see my practice guidelines and HIPAA form for more information about confidentiality in therapy.

Services Provided:

I provide consultation; supervision; individual, family, and group therapy; and DOT-SAP assessments in my West Chester, PA office.

I am a trauma-informed therapist and work with adolescents, young adults, and adults wrestling with mental health and substance abuse issues.
I especially enjoy working with recovering professionals, folks with dual-diagnoses, and families of adolescents and young adults. I also provide drug and alcohol evaluations for school or legal purposes.

For more than 30 years, I’ve been helping individuals and families learn about substance abuse and mental health diagnoses, end self-destructive behavior patterns, reduce PTSD symptoms, and develop more effective communication and coping skills.

I save clients time and money by providing a thorough assessment of needs and developing a clear plan to achieve goals in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
